GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper, or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.Draw a square which will act as the frame of the cat portrait.

STEP 1. Outline the general shape of the head and the upper body of the cat. Sketch the eyes and the face.

STEP 2. Add ears, a mouth and a nose.

STEP 3. Detail ears, eyes and the upper body of the cat.

STEP 4. Add pupils and whiskers.

STEP 5. Work on the whole figure of the portrait.

STEP 6. Color the eyes. Erase all guidelines.
